Where Can I Buy Used Snow Skis?

Your Questions

I really like skiing but I would like to have my own skis. I don’t have enough money for new, so I think used would be great. Any Ideas?

  1. Hire shops often sell all or part of their hire stock at the end of the ski season. Give some shops in your area a call.

They will have been pretty heavily used.

  2. Go to http://www.craigslist.org
You can deal locally, go see the product and best of all you do not have to "bid" on anything. I went to buy race skis and asked the seller if they happen to have a race suit and they did so I got a great deal on both. You will usually deal with just regular people rather than professional sellers and end up getting a much better deal!

  3. I bought mine while on vacation in Cancun Mexico. They have a used snow ski store right on the beach. And since they don’t get much snow they are like new.

    ebay

  5. Every time I go to Goodwill, there are literally dozens and dozens of old pairs of skis, snowboots, snowboards, poles etc. for sale, mostly for under $10 a pair.

I live near a mountain range, so if you don’t, I’d recommend checking out thrift stores near ski towns. Or, there’s always Ebay.

  6. Ebay usually has some nice deals son use merchandise, whether it be skis or anything

  7. look for ski swaps in the fall, pretty much anyplace with a hill close by has some form of ski swap in the fall, the ones I have been to always have both used skiis and new stuff that is being sold off by shops or reps.
you should also check both online and in the stores near you right now cuz stores like to dump stuff at the end of the season so they don’t have to store the stuff all summer, lots of good deals in the spring, this is usually when I buy skiis & stuff.

  8. If there is one of these around you, Play It Again Sports. I’m not sure if they still have them in stock, but they are mostly used sports items and they are at a great price!!
