It generally depends on a couple things: 1) the weather and 2) ticket sales. This year there has been a lot of snow in Big Bear, so baring an exceptionally brutal heat wave we should make it pretty far into April. But as the days get longer the sun is going to be on that snow more and more each day, so going much further than April is possible, but not really likely. The second factor is ticket sales. Once the snow is starting to go and ticket sales fall below a certain point the managers will start looking at setting a close date, as it’s too expensive to staff the resort if no one is coming.
