you can also try to visit Alpine Meadows in Lake Tahoe I heard that they were offering great discount passes over the area, its a midweek + sunday adult pass for just $299 or go for the slightly filtered Alpine and Homewood seven day pass for $429, there are also other options that may fit your budget..

Big Bear in LA is the best skiing at this time of year. Sometimes during the winter, there is some snow on Laguna Peak (in SD county), but it’s really not enough to ski on.
