It had been ten years between my high school/college skiing days and my first trip back with my family. I felt confident that I still had the skills and I was able to almost pick up where I left off. By the end of our five day ski trip, it felt like I had never stopped skiing.
However, if you are questioning your skills after five years of no skiing, I would suggest taking a private lesson over a group lesson. This way if your skills come back quickly, your instructor can easily adapt their lessons to you ability. The last thing you want to do is get stuck in a group lesson where you quickly out pace the rest of the group.
It’s hard for me after not going for 5 days so yes. Take a lesson or 2 and it will get easier. How long it is difficult depends on your conditioning, skill level and the snow condition. Have fun. Skiing at a high skill level is always difficult, but that is also relative. The steep slope a beginner is afraid of is a flat spot to me. The steep slope that scares me is nearly vertical.
You’ll be fine – my Dad had a break of 15 years and picked it up again very quickly without any lessons. Just be sure to start off on easy runs till you find your feet.

Nah sick thing about skiing is that you can never unlearn yourself

No, not hard. It took me all of 5 minutes this season to "get my feet" after almost a year.
It probably won’t take you any time at all to limber up again, especially if you are an experienced skier.

No, it’s literally like riding a bike. One or two runs and you’re back at it

it might take a run or two before you’re 100% again but its not the sort of thing that you forget how to do very easily. hope you have fun skiing!!!!
