Can you? Yes. But as Annie says they are cold and do not offer much padding when you fall. If you add more layers the suit gets too bulky and detracts from the intent of the suit.

If you are not racing, don’t wear your suit. They can get very cold and you just don’t need it for recreational skiing.t\

Apart from the practical considerations noted by the other answers, you need to know that people will think you are a total tool and a poser if you are doing anything but racing in that suit. This would be especially true if you do not have racer-level skills.
If you don’t care at all what people think of you (and you shouldn’t, at least to a certain degree) then you should concern yourself about only the practical issue of whether it makes sense to wear it for warmth, comfort, etc.
But if you care at all what other people might think of you – even a little bit – then think twice. I mostly don’t care what people think of me, and I am a very good skier – but there is no way that I would go out on the slopes wearing that unless I was racing.
Don’t do it!

not only will you look like a tool, but today for instance, i saw a lot of racers in them. Seriously, a 40ish or older guy carrying 50 extra pounds should never wear one to try to shave 100ths of seconds. It looks really bad if you aren’t in top physical form. Even the younger guys need to be physically fit to make it work in a racing situation, much less a non-racing situation.

I think you should wear pant over it and some shirt depending on the temperature
