Can You Help Me Identify a Type of Snow Ski?

Your Questions

I was skiing and noticed a guy using a single ski. His front foot was locked in and his back foot was set up directly behind with a telemaker binding anyone know what this type is called and who makes them?

  1. It is a teleboard. There’s a small sub-culture who likes to mount telemark bindings on monoskis.

Some people who do this say it helps because the center of gravity is lower.

Who makes the skis? IDK off the top of my head…do a search on monoskis.

Who makes the bindings? Most pix I’ve seen of these set-ups use G3, Rottefella, or Black Diamond bindings.

  2. a mono ski with a different binding style and placement more like a water ski?

  3. I think it’s called a teleboard. I saw one once, too, at Alta were snowboarding isn’t allowed, only skiing.
